Mental Health Awareness Week

12th-18th May 2025 is Mental Health Awareness Week: Take a Step Towards Better Wellbeing

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week – an important opportunity to reflect on how we’re feeling, to look after our mental wellbeing and to reach out for support if we need it.

Did you know that people living with mental health conditions are more likely to experience poorer physical health outcomes too? That’s why it’s so important to look after both your mind and your body. If you receive an invitation to come in for a health check with one of our nurses, we strongly encourage you to take up the offer – it’s a great way to stay on top of your overall health.

You don’t need to see a GP to access help for mental health. You can refer yourself directly to a free, confidential NHS talking therapy service here:

With summer just around the corner and brighter weather lifting spirits, now’s a great time to take steps toward improving your wellbeing – whether that’s talking to someone, going for a walk, or booking in for that long-overdue health check.

Let’s keep the conversation going. You’re not alone, and support is always available.
